Taj Vivanta Bekal

I recently had been to Taj Vivanta, Bekal, Kerala. Have mixed feeling about the place and i must say it was a little bit of let down for following reasons.

1. The bath tub in had dust at the bottom
2. Outdoor shower area, the floor had some kind of dark spots all over.

I also noticed that they don't have following as part of amenities

1. No tooth brush, they say the give it on demand
2. No welcome drink on arrival
3. No fruits in the room in arrival but i did see a note which says call reception to get complimentary fresh seasonal fruits.
4. Only two towels in the bath room.

Consider that i was going to Taj for the first time, my expectations were higher and i was expecting more than any other five star hotel.

Five Star Hotels

After my marriage i have atleast visited a dozed of star hotels and somehow liking towards holidaying in them.

Following are the hotels where i have been so far.
1. Zuri Kumarakom - Kumarakom
2. Club Mahindra - Munnar
3. Tata coffee plantation trails - Coorg
4. Travancore Heritage - Kovallam
5. Country Suites Inn - Mysore
6. Bouganvilla - Ooty
7. ITC Kakatiya - Hyderabad.

What is the best thing i like about them...food....food for breakfast....food for lunch....and food for dinner....buffet spread they have for breakfast is so filling. Mix of continental and Indian...what else you would ask for when holidaying :-)

Food aparts....the ambiance of the room and the hotel itself. Mind with noting to worry about daily activities and laid back attitude while holidaying coupled with heavy food provides a lethargic mood that you dont want to get out of.

So whats my main passion these days??? holidaying in as many five start hotels as possible.

Feeling very low

Just returned from a bride hunt travel and like before this trip also turned out to be unfruitful. I am not sure, every passing day or every passing unsuccessful bride hunt trip things are becoming very difficult for me.

Each unsuccessful trip , fading are the chances of me finding my dream bride. I used to be patient all these days thinking that there is some dream girl of mine waiting there and God is just delaying. But now i am scared that there is no such dream girl for me. I have to move on and find the best girl of the lot. This really hurts and makes me feel very low.

And because of my selfish reasons i am making my wonderful parents also suffer. They didn't definitely deserve what they are going though to find a bride for me. I am very bad.

I make fun of myself just to escape this embarrassment so that others dont spot that i am feeling low or hurt or lonely. Making fun of myself makes me feel that i am strong and can handle such things. But i know it myself how difficult it is :-).

Never mind, no more of such blogs going forward.

My new car

I got my new car yesterday. It'sMarutis new swift 2011 ZDI.I had old Santro , this was my first car which I had got seven years back. There are several reasons which made me go for a new car.

1. As with most old cars, maintainance cost increases over time.

2. Petrol costs are all time high these days in India. And it's going to be even more costlier. Diesel it's relatively cheaper and since most of public transport in India run on diesel, it's prices are regulated. Which means cost of one litre poof diesel won't change often with changes in crude oil price. And any government which tries to de regulate petrol will loose badly.
and it's really difficult to differentiate between private and commercial vehicle at petrol pumps all government managed to do was to increase prices of private diesel cars  :-) . Inspite of this it's economical.

3. Most important reason,I love driving diesel cars specially for the variable turbo they have. This means after certain rpm on every gear, cars jump like a rocket.
That's the reason I got this new car. And so far the car has exceeded my expectation  :-)
I AM A PROUD OWNER  :-) :-)

Summer Special

Was wondering how human body adapts to changes. I was born and brought up in a place where summers mercury used to raise till 50C, i lived in such a place for 22 years. Now after moving to Bangalore and staying here for past 8+ years i started to feel that Bangalore is very hot..ironical right? Bangalore climate wont even go beyond 40C :-)

I am wondering what if there is recession in software industry and being part of software industry getting a hit and going back to my home town and staying there with temperature going up to 50C..hmm...gonna be difficult...I just hope that such a recession wont come and even if it comes i wont get hit :-P...well that reminds me..i should have an alternate profession ready :-P

Well i starting writing blog thinking of this i used to eat/drink during summers while i was kid...why did i got nostalgic ?? well i had a kwality walls truti fruti ice cream and it was so yummy...

So here are the list of things i , infact most of us coming for warmer regions of the country would typically have in summers..

1. Ice creams , ice creams and more ice creams.
2. Few siblings of ice creams...like kulfis,candys
3. Mango juice
4. Watermelon
5. Sugarcane juice

Airline Travel

I don't know why i am so scared of flying. There has never been a major scare that i have gone thru while i was travelling in flight. But still i am very scared of it. But last time when i visited to US , the journey was very enjoyable. May be more i travel , more used to i will get and more fun i will have while traveling airborne.

This time i was travelling via Dubai in emirates. total of 18 hours of journey and 8+ hours of transit at dubai. I was excited the moment i boarded Airbus 320 from Bangalore to Dubai. The flight was clean and new. There was this one beautiful air hostess i managed to read her name from the name plate on her dress. Her name was Ketki. Was really beautiful. Flight was 4:30 minutes to Dubai and was on time. Did feel a few hiccups but it was not at all scary. Food and Beverages and with in no time reached Dubai.

Landing over Dubai was fun. Fully lit place underneath and watching it over the window of aircraft over Dubai skies was amazing. We landed in Dubai on time and from there to the terminal was 15 minutes drive.

Wow..the terminal was really good. Many shops toys , perfumes , wine and many more. There was a garden in  the terminal.

We did a little bit of shopping and took some rest before again being airborne en route to new york. This flight was long 14 hours flight. Flight had nice in flight entertainment.  I watched Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Very nice movie with amazing songs.

Two times food once snacks and beverages and there you are over new york skies waiting for landing at JFK airport.

Bride Hunt

Can i get a bride as beautiful as the one above????? Time has to answer..but isn't she pretty :-P. I am not asking for some bollywood actress or some thing... some one as beautiful as above is what i am looking for :-P

I have been searching for my dream girl for some 3 years now :-) in the process i have seen atleast 65+ girls. Something wrong here :-( .... 65+ and none could be my dream girl?? . I don't know what i want. Seriously speaking i am scared of marriages.

And in these 3 years , at least for last 2 year every month i end up travelling around 3000Kms easily..some times in volvo buses, red buses and few times in trains. Though i enjoy travelling , but off late its not that fun..may be i am aging..or may be i am frustated of not finding a suitable bride even after hunting for 3 years...

I just hope that within couple of weeks i find my dream girl by choice and not by force and then rest for at least 4 months before getting married..i need all that time for compensating time i spent in travelling for bride hunt. I will try to make a check list of this i want to do before marriage...some thing similar to Zindagi na mile doobara..

For guys who are very perticular about their dream girls , better start early :-P
