My company has this annual shutdown , where the entire operations are stopped and employees are forced to take annual leave...forced?? well i don't mind being forced like this more than once a year...
This year its 9 days of vacation starting tomorrow. People kept asking me as to what my plan for shutdown was.. and i kept saying them that i will be in Bangalore itself.. well is that a vacation plan?? absolutely not..going by my standards even on weekends if i don't drive to go out of bangalore its not a weekend...and these are 9 days vacations...i must plan some thing...Following are options..
1. Few of my colleagues are going to trek to ombutta gudda.. can join them for a trek.
2. Sister is calling me to Mumbai will go there have fun with my nephew..shop a little...go to matheran..go to some beach place...
I am thinking of opting for option 2...will be in Bangalore for couple of days till Tuesday and then in Mumbai till 1st jan..
Travelling to Mumbai is always fun..i get to go in Volvo bus for 16+ hours...watch movies...talk to frens on the way...and sleep nicely in the bus watching the skies...btw..i can't travel without a window seat...only times i will be forced to take aisle seat is when i am travelling with my mom/sister...not sure what i am going to do with my wife though :-P most probably i will make her sit on aisle..:-P
I would prefer to travel by KSRTC...nice clean busses and very puntual. I am impressed by KSRTC in general... especially their naming convention of different variety of buses...Airavat..Corona..Raj Hansa..Vaibhava..nice names...
